Thunder T&F practices at Southridge HS Stadium and Chinook MS Monday through Thursday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. To ensure we maximize our training time for our track club, athletes are expected to arrive at least 5 minutes early so they are ready to begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
Due to the size of the Tri-City Thunder and the need to manage coaching staff and facility space safely, we utilize a rotating schedule. While not every track and field discipline can be practiced every day, we prioritize consistent development for all athletes involved in youth athletics. You can see an example of a schedule to the right.
Weekly Breakdown:
The schedule is organized by age group to ensure everyone gets specialized attention:
Sprints: Most age groups can expect to practice sprints 3 days a week.
Field Events: We strive to provide at least 2 days a week of practice for each age group.
Distance: Training is available most days, though this is subject to specific coach availability.
Note: As our season progresses, so does the practice schedule as middle and high school athletes join our track club. The most up-to-date practice schedule will be posted to our Band app in the notices section at the top of the page.
