Founded in 2013 by Kate Samuelson, Tri-City Thunder began with a simple mission: to give her daughter and peers a platform to compete. That grassroots spark has since ignited a movement, growing into a premier organization of over 300 athletes. As a proud USATF affiliate, we go beyond the finish line—blending the thrill of competition with a culture that builds lifelong friendships and the next generation of leaders.

At Tri-City Thunder, we believe that elite performance isn't just born—it’s built. We bridge the gap between raw talent and competitive excellence by fostering an environment where "work ethic" isn't a buzzword, but a daily practice.
The Power of Structured Discipline
Our practices are the blueprint for success. By implementing a high-intensity, organized training regimen, we teach athletes how to:
Comprehensive Versatility
Track and field is a diverse tapestry of movements. We don’t just pigeonhole athletes; we encourage them to explore the full spectrum of the sport:
Personal Development & The "Best Self" Metric
While we celebrate every medal, our ultimate goal is the pursuit of the Personal Record (PR). We emphasize that:
Our Commitment: Whether an athlete is aiming for a collegiate scholarship or simply looking to improve their fitness, we provide the tools, the coaching, and the culture to help them reach their ceiling and then break through it.

No matter your discipline, we’re dedicated to helping you sharpen your skills and smash your personal bests. Explore the Tri-City Thunder programs below to find your perfect fit.
