
To compete with our team, all athletes must maintain a current, active USATF membership and be officially affiliated with Tri-City Thunder.
Important Note for Oregon Residents
If you live in Northeastern Oregon, you can still join Thunder, but there is an additional administrative step required by USATF. Please email us for specific instructions BEFORE you register with USATF or the club to ensure your membership is set up correctly.
All athletes participating in the Tri-City Thunder registration, regardless of age, must complete the age verification process by USATF.
The USATF age verification process requires members to upload proof of birthdate (such as a birth certificate or passport) through the USATF Connect system. Once your document is uploaded and approved, it becomes a permanent part of your USATF membership profile, meaning no further verifications are needed for renewals. It's important to note that age verification documents are only accepted through the USATF Connect portal and cannot be mailed or emailed. This process ensures that athletes are placed in the correct age division for events like the Junior Olympics or National Championships, helping to avoid last-minute disqualifications.
How the Process Works:
Log In: Access your account on the USATF Connect website.
Navigate: Go to the 'Athlete Verifications' tab within your profile.
Upload Document: Submit a clear, legible digital copy of an accepted document.
Status Check: Your status will change from 'Pending' to 'Verified' once processed.
Accepted Documents (One is sufficient):
- Birth Certificate
- Passport
- Certified Baptismal Record
- Driver's License or Learner's Permit
- U.S. Government-Issued ID
Before you begin, please ensure that Thunder T&F athletes have a current USATF membership that is affiliated with Tri-City Thunder and that you have completed the age verification process. (Note: These USATF requirements do not apply to Little Thunder participants).
Once those prerequisites are met, follow these steps to register:
Step 1: Complete the Registration Form
Click the registration link below to access the Tri-City Thunder Registration Form. This form is used for both our Little Thunder and Thunder T&F programs.
Step 2: Complete Your Payment
The Pay Link will take you directly to a secure GoDaddy payment page.
Refunds will ONLY be considered PRIOR to the start of ANY regular sessions, practices, or track meets. Refunds will only be considered for Tri-City Thunder Membership fees, and will not be considered for uniforms, event fees, Volunteer Fees, USATF Membership, or other fees that an athlete may incur. Refunds MUST not EXCEED the total amount paid to date by the athlete and/or his family. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO FAMILIES WITH OUTSTANDING BALANCES OR MEET FEES. Refund requests received PRIOR to the start of any regular sessions, practices, meets will be granted minus a $35.00 administrative fee.
